Psychotherapy is a form of talking therapy between a therapist and client.
The therapist encourages a client to talk about any issues … past traumas memories or problems that they may feel is hindering them in a negative way in the present day … As in the form of depression , stress, Panics, Phobias, Anger , Post Traumatic stress… There are many different schools of Psychotherapy … But all are intended to give a person a better understanding of how issues of the past can affect how we work and behave in our everyday . I personally use Cognitive approach to Psychotherapy when working with individuals … As well as having an understand of how the past has its affects on the present – with the use of a Cognitive approach to change – a person can be enabled with the help of a therapist – to change old thought patterns and behaviours into healthier processes enabling an individual to progress and move on.
